This tool allows you to examine Salesforce Commerce Cloud URLs, or any URLs tied to your domain / hostname alias.
When you request a URL, SFCC analyzes the path of that URL to see where it goes through when requesting the Commerce Cloud information.
During a website migration, I’ve made it a habit to use the URL Request Analyzer for QAing redirects and assess what path a URL follows to get to an endpoint.
Because I’m using a sample site, I can’t walk you through how to use it, but simply put, you have to submit a SFCC URL associated with your site. From there, you can analyze its path.
I’ve used this portal regularly when building a 301 redirect map. It helps me understand a specific page and its nature within SFCC and a redirect path when it’s not working as intended. Making this section a great QAing resource.
See Salesforce Commerce Cloud documentation for using the URL Request Analyzer here.
